Jake and his wife, Amanda Sharp Halley, have family in both parishes of District 12.
Jake’s parents are Brian and Susie Halley, both of Farmerville. Brian retired as a captain from Union Parish Sheriff’s Office after serving 30 years. He also served as Homeland Security Director. Susie, a retired nursing homes activity coordinator and social worker, is now a volunteer at Trees of Righteousness, a local nonprofit.
Jake’s uncle, Bill Halley, played Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers but decided there wasn’t enough money in sports during those years so he came home and started Halley Timber which Jake’s cousin, Kenneth Halley, currently runs. Jake’s brother Nick Halley owns and operates Halley Construction and Halley Dirt Work, servicing clients throughout northeast Louisiana.
Halley has coached Tee Ball for several years. He has also coached and played Dixie Boys baseball. Jake, who turned 36 in December, was a pitcher and shortstop on the Union Allstar teamthat made it to the state finals the year he graduated from highschool.
A strong supporter of the Second Amendment, Jake is a member of the NRA, Winter Bass Club, Bassmasters and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Jake and Amanda have a son, Grant, who attends D’Arbonne Woods. Grant is a member of Union Parish

The Halleys, who are pro-life, are members of the Farmerville First Assembly Church where Jake serves as a Music Worship Leader.
